Just curious if someone’s been motivated enough to haul one across the pond?

Yes I have. It's up for sale if anyone is interested. I have used it 2 times and she just sits. Run time on high suction is approx 25 min but if you turn the suction down (which IMO does well) the run time is longer.

I think you may be confusing the CSC SYS 50 table saw with the CTLC SYS extractor. :-)

The thought has occurred to me, but I'm not eager to spend 1500-2K $'s with no warranty prospects. So, for now I'm going to wait and see if Festool introduces it here.

I don't have space or power for a full-sized cabinet saw. My current Bosch TS is ok, for what it is, but I'm planning to either upgrade to the new Sawstop to get better safety and space utilization, or the CSC Sys 50 to save space and get power flexibility + hopefully, better accuracy.

If you were entertaining the thought of shipping one over, note that someone let it slip that demo units are at/going to be at stores this Sept.

Nope, but I was thinking of hauling one back home with me next month.

This Friday's Festool Live segment is on the CSC SYS 50. Sedge refers to it as Systainer Saw Episode 1.

After the Polishing Headlights video and the Vac SYS being used profusely in Festool Live segments, this might mean the CSC SYS 50 is being discontinued before it even gets to the US Shores...  [wink]  [big grin]

Maybe it will include an announcement.

No SawStop tech?

I blame SawStop for brainwashing me, because now I refuse to handle any table saw that doesn't have the finger-saving protection. Last time, while at my neighbor's shop (with a cabinet table saw) helping him, I told him I'd bring his board back to mine to make the thin cuts he wanted!

Yeah the price is less high than I dared hope, and I love the system integration, but having no saw stop is pretty much a deal breaker. Looks fantastic otherwise [emoji53]

SawStop requires connection to ground to work properly.

Unless you want to haul around a 6 foot copper rod to pound into the ground, Sawstop on a battery-operated portable saw isn't highly feasible.

It could have been done so that when ground is available the saw stop stuff is enabled. I would happily have traded the extra weight for the safety.

Regardless, I understand that this saw can't do it all, but for my situation I care more about the brake than the batteries. A corded model with the same footprint and features would be more my speed.
