My CT22 just inexplicably died.

What's odd is that when I lift it up from the front it'll turn on for a second.  Is there a kill switch or a contact that I'm missing?

A tool will turn on if it's plugged into the front of the unit but the vac doesn't go on.

Not sure if this matters but I have the boom arm connected.

Thanks for any help.

Best,

Anthony

Hi eightball,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

Sounds like something loose with the switch or outlet. I suggest calling the service department. You will get to speak to a person that actually knows what they are talking about and will be helpful.

Anthony,

Welcome to the forum. I wish it was under better circumstances that you made your first post.

I looked up your tool registration for the CT 22 and have emailed our Service Department Manager, Lester, and asked that he contact you at the number we have on file.

Thanks,
Shane

My recent experiences within old CT22 would indicate warn motor bushes.

Often motors with warn bushes will restart if 'bumped' and then stop again.

I had the same problem with a Hoover I had. I'd suggest to look at the earth wire on the back of the switch easy enough to do. Regards scott
