CT 22

My CT22 vac no longer starts automatically when I run my Kapex.  Is there a simple fix like a blown fuse our do I need to send it back to festool?  I tried calling the service number but all I got was elevator music.

Does the Kapex come on using the outlet on the CT? Just wondering if it's the outlet or the auto functionality that's not working.

Neither the vac turns on, nor the Kapex.  Thanks Shane.  I'll pm you my cell

I suspect it's the outlet then which can be user replaced. Forwarded your number to service. Please post the result for the benefit of others.

I got a call from the service dept and was advised to check the plug receptacle by plugging in a sander, turn on the sander then jiggle the cord to see if its the plug.  I was able to get the sander running, albeit intermittently so I ordered a new receptacle for the vac, part # 704570.  Cost was $47 and change including shipping.  Kind of chaps my a** a bit,  I never really use this vac much outside of the shop, it's 4 years old and has always been dedicated to my SCMS.  Oh well, what are you gonna do?!  Things break, but $47?
It was a good service experience other than the price.  I'll update you when it arrives and I have it installed.
