CT 26A Won’t spin up…

Howdy!
I was the lucky recipient of a pretty nice stack of tools but the CT26A will not turn on. It tries to, goes whoop whoop but never spins up. I purchased a new motor but no luck, same issue. I’m wondering if it could be this little guy but I can’t figure out what it is. Any advice would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

As it's in series with the switch, just try shorting the terminals and see if it then powers up. Looks like a sensor of some sort, so shorting it will be fine to test.

I did… I pulled it and connected the wires directly, same whoop whoop but no start. I’d love to be able to figure it out, wife’s watching my shop budget closely… Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
