CT 36 Screw Size

I just ordered my first Festool piece which was a CT 36 dust extractor. It was missing the two screws that secure the electric cord holder to the unit. Not wanting to mess up my new $700 vacuum, I was wondering if anyone knows the thread and length of the screws?

That's about 1-3/16" long.

  If you can't find them locally to get it attached right away, contact Festool (or your dealer). I am sure they will get them to you in a jiffy.

Welcome.  If I understand correctly your vac was missing these screws when you purchased it.  If that is the case call Festool and they should send the missing screws out to you right away.

Thanks for the info and now I know about EKAT as well.

I picked up 5x30mm screws today and went to install them. They were way to large and wouldn't fit in the holes. I happened to have some 4mm short screws here and they fit in perfectly. Back to the hardware store and the longest 4mm they had was 25mm. Brought them home and they fit perfectly.

They must have changed something after those drawings were made.
