I recently noticed my dust collector surging (dropping to low speed or perhaps off for a second, and then spooling up again for a few more seconds, then repeat). Only seems to happen when I have my sander plugged in to the accessory port on the dust collector
I think its just that I had my sander on very low speed, and the sander was not drawing enough amps for the dust collector electronics to be sure if the sander was on or off. I did notice that the dust collector does seem to need some minimum amps for the auto on/off to work - when I tried plugging my radio into the CT-36E "appliance socket", the auto on/off did not function at all. Seemed to stop surging when I turned up the speed on my sander.
I am running through a Dust Deputy. The bag is pretty new and almost empty. The filter has some age (?) but I cleaned it pretty good.
Anybody else seen this ?
