CT AS Hose Adapter for non-Festool Tools

Hi,

As I await delivery of a CT 36 I was wondering if there are hose adapters compatible with Festool AS hoses and non-Festool tools. I have an adapter kit from Rockler that works well to connect a variety of Milwaukee tools to a small Ridgid shop-vac but I know those (screw-in) adapters will not work with a Festool hose. Having looked at the Festool options it doesn't appear their adapters will work with other tools either but perhaps I'm mistaken.

Is this even possible or do I need to keep using the old shop-vac for my "other" tools?

Many people have had luck with the Cen-tec adapter kits.
