CT CYCLONE Pre-Separator: Coming to NA on October 1

[member=10147]jobsworth[/member] I thank you for that knife !!!!!! One of my most used " Festool Things "

Don's results show a far better percentage being trapped by the interceptor than I achieved. I think that his test was more thorough than mine:

I am looking at the performance with the CT Sys which should be completed soon.

Fantastic video, thanks Don for justifying my faith in Festool engineering as I just ordered mine from Toolnut last week.  I knocked the inspection light out of first place for gotta haves.

I am looking at picking up a CT. If I get a ct-cyclone, would there be any reason to get a CT36? being that the CT 26 is the same?
thanks for any input

If your getting the CT-Cyclone the CT 26 would work just the same as the CT 36

After trying a number of times over last few months - the answer from Festool UK is, there's no reason why the pre separator can't be used with the Sys/Mini/Midi. The reason why they don't recommend this use, is the device was designed to fit with the 26 and above models - there's no engineering reason why it won't work with the smaller machines, just perhaps less efficiently due to lower flow rates.

I used a Ultimate Dust Deputy with my CT26 from day one and had zero dust in the bag for 3 years.
I recently replaced it with the Festool cyclone because I liked the flat top on it and the ability to stack other systainers. After one month my CT bag was almost full

I use mine with the midi and the SYs with no issues at all. I was informed by Festool at one of the shows over hear, was that on the Midi it could be top heavy and potentially topple over, really not an issue for me as I don't see myself using it whilst pushing it around. The SYS has a different power to the CTs but I cannot see any visible  drop in collection
