CT Extractors - Why no 'bag full' indication?

Martin

Its the translation!

On my CT Mini the manual states for vacuuming liquids, " When the maximum filling level is reached a bag-full indicator automatically interupts extraction". A much better design than the ping pong ball in my Vax.!

There are two metal contacts on motor housing which extend into the main body and determine the liquid level. When liquid reaches the contacts a circuit is broken and the motor is switched off. It is the same on the CT22/33 series. The bag-full is referring to the main housing being full.

I am afraid that there is no bag-full indicator on any of the extractors, just a loss of suction or the buzzer on the CTM series which works, as you rightly say, when the air flow is restricted to 20 metres per second.

We have an old Miele vacuum cleaner with a bag-full indicator and it is the only thing of the four Miele products we own that has ever gone wrong!
