Yesterday the CT26, Turbo Suction Brush, and Universal Cleaning Set (497702) I was very interested in how the turbo brush would perform on carpets with the CT Midi. So I cleaned up the Midi, since it will be a home vac, and fired up the turbo brush.
Wow. It really works well. I could feel the suction/resistance against the carpet and hear the debris being lifted. The beater bars did a nice job with the tight nap of an oriental carpet. When you see the nap lift on a carpet that low you know it’s doing a good job. I think it does a better job than our “industrial” upright. Plus it’s lighter and maneuvers much easier. Then I put it on a long shag area rug under a coffee table. Naturally you couldn’t push the turbo head forward through the pile. However, since it is so light I just lifted it forward and pulled it back. I could hear all kinds of stuff coming from that rug. There were no clogs or tangles from the long strands.
The Turbo Brush far exceeded my expectations.
This morning I went to swap the anti-static hoses between the Midi and the CT 26. I wanted use the new hose for inside the house. I wanted to exchange the “L” coupler from the old Midi hose with the “straight” coupler that came on the new CT 26 hose. Did I get a surprise.
I discovered the anti-static hose that came with my CT-Midi is 33mm. I had no idea. I looked on the Festool web site and it says the Midi comes with a 27mm hose. Perhaps there was a change. No matter I need to order two new couplers.
