Anyone have a handle on their CT If so can you answer a couple questions:
1. does it interfere or prevent the use of the cord wrap?
2. does the metal portion of the handle detach quickly and easily for times it would be in the way such as loading into a vehicle?

If you have any likes/dislikes feel free to make them known.  Very little info out there on it. Just looked a little closer and there seems to be a variety of different types depending on the CT model this is the one for CT36AC

Hi,#1 no #2 no,best money I spent ,goes up and down stairs makes mobility easy imo a necessity for any contractor why would you try to carry this between your leggs?

Well, usually I have at least one or two systainers stacked on top so its not an issue.  However, yes if moving it a large distance its a PITA to hunch over and wheel it around.  Yesterday I had an issue I was trying to move all my stuff in one trip through a condo building and to my vehicle so it was far. Through common hallways, elevators, parking garage not to mention uneven threshold situations that made things even more difficult and then finally out to the contractor parking area.  Needless to say it was a hike. The biggest issue was I had the final bag of garbage to get out also and stacked on top and it kept wanting to and falling off so it was a constant fight the entire trip.  A handle would have made it easier to push, tilt over thresholds and steer for sure.  I also plan to carry a few bungee cords in the future and that got me to thinking about some type of bungee tie off anchor system and a 5 gallon bucket mount somehow would be nice too since I always seem to have one of those along for the ride. Multiple trips would have probably been better but my CT was the only thing left with wheels and the garbage had some weight to it and since the distance was far I would have had to wheel everything out on the CT then bring the CT back and get the second load.

I dont do it often so my vehicle is a Jeep and doesnt have a lot of height for a handle unless it collapses or detaches quickly.  I was hoping it had some buttons to push to detach quickly if needed.  So thats a bit of a bummer.

1.  No
2.  No
But it makes it easier to move around my shop instead of bending over.  I "parked" my Older Midi because there was no handle kit to put on it.

[member=73094]afish[/member]  There are a bunch of sizes.

Yes, I may have been thinking about this wrong.  Something like that cart that could transport both TSB and systainers. I am struggling a bit because most of my stuff is in Tough System Boxes and some stuff in systainers.  I like both systems for different reasons. However, the CT almost always comes along and sander or 2 (in systainers), otherwise my track saw is the only other tool in a sys I would take on the road, then the rest is in TSB and since they dont play together something like that cart might be the answer.  I typically dont mind a couple trips (wheel out the CT and systainers then come back for the TSB but sometimes its a PITA such as the other day when I didnt have any TSB that day and it was just the Ct and the DTS along with a bunch of misc. things. A cart that can handle everything in one trip would be good not only for trips but condos also require flooring protection to be put down in the common areas so it adds a lot of time and expense to move anything.

I have a CT26 + cyclone. The handle is amongst the best few bucks I ever spent. It’s just the perfect way to turn your CT into a Systainer transporter. Don’t over-think this Mr. Fish - just buy one immediately. Very highly recommended.

I have two CT36's, and only one handle. I consider the CT36AC my traveling vac so no handle on it. I do have a handle on my other CT36, but use it with a boom arm which requires the handle. Point being I don't want a handle on my traveler. If it gets to heavy to pick up and move, it needs a new bag.

Its not about over thinking but if the handle doesnt come off or collapse then its not going to fit in my vehicle. I dont know why festool would make it permanent...Seems dumb they didnt think that all the way through. A couple simple push buttons at the bottom to detach the handle from the plastic base would have been a simple thing.  Otherwise If I add the handle, I will need to look at attaching a hitch to it also.  Im sure I would get some funny looks towing my CT behind me though and not sure the casters are good for anything over 15mph  [tongue]

Easiest solution would be to get a new midi vac and add rhe accessory collapsible handle. Best $100 Ive spent! You also get bluetooth so you dont have to keep bending over all day

For situations like this I have a SYS 5 from a cleaning set which I keep on top of my CTM36 stack. Normally I keep/transport the D36 hose in it plus some little-used hose ends.

But when I need to move/store something, I can always put the hose around the systainer stack and use the SYS 5 for storing pretty much anything, including a garbage bag etc.

The SYS 5 is light even with the hose in, so the fact it stands about 1.9 meter high is absolutely fine with me.

Originally, I put the SYS 5 sideways but then needed to transport the full CT stack, including CT-VA and realized it was practical to keep the SYS 5 on top of the stack at all times, even when empty.

For me it's so integral I had to think about what you were asking. Then I remembered it was a separate purchase.

So yes, without a doubt I would not want the ct26 without the handle
