Hi,

OK, no pics because the piece for the mod is NAINA ( Tanos not Festool) .  I have just added a CT Mini to my equipment line up. I was thinking that it could be handy if the Hose Garage was bigger so that a larger diameter or longer hose could go in it. Or in the case of the Mini / Midi just more room for the standard hose and power cord.  Then I had the thought that the Tanos Systainer Telescope (extension) unit could be latched directly onto the Hose Garage just as a regular Systainer would. With or with out a lid it would create and instant extension to the Hose Garage!   A Sys -I or whatever size you wanted could have the bottom cut out to do it also.

Now that I think about it. I am pretty sure a Hose Garage could be latched onto a Hose Garage for extra depth also.

sorry to bump such an old thread,

I too find it gets old meticulously wrapping up the hose/cord all the time :/

I concurrently thought about hacking out the bottom of a sys1 to increase the height of the hose garage...

No problem with renewing an old thread.

I  completely forgot about this old one when the same topic came up  recently in a another thread.

I also got sick of trying to fit cord and hose inside of midi. I have the Dust Deputy which has a large hose of its own, along with an upgraded 36mm hose, so only the cord gets wrapped inside the midi and the large hoses hang on a hook in the van. If I had a hose garage or a systainer extension on top of it, it would fall over in transport from being top heavy, especially when driving along the West Coast on curvy P.C.H.!!

That's pretty funny Corwin!  To the point for sure.  I have much experience with that finely conceived tool. I spend plenty of time securing the full load in my work van with straps and bungees of all sorts. Some things, I just want to put them in and forget about them, and also just grab and go when I get there.  Post was funny cuz' it only had the pic without the sarcasm!!!!  Cheers!

Glad you enjoyed my post, especially since you took it as it was intended.  [big grin]  Happy motoring!  [scared]
