CT Mini - replace 22mm hose with 27mm hose?

I have an older CT Mini vacuum which has the 22mm hose as standard.  I use the Mini on DIY projects around the house, mainly with sanders and occasionally with a compound mitre saw or portable table saw (yes, that latter is pushing the limits of the Mini, but is better than nothing :)  ).  The latest CT Mini models have a 27mm hose, presumably enabled by the more powerful motors in these newer models. 

Would there be any improvement in vacuum performance if I changed to a 27mm hose? 

I'm thinking there would not be, firstly assuming Festool has already determined that 22mm was the optimal size based on the motor capability in my model, and secondly, that with a larger diameter hose there would be an overall reduction in air velocity notwithstanding the reduction in internal hose friction.

My main priority is getting the best vacuum performance with my sanders.

Has anyone changed their CT Mini's 22mm hose to the 27mm hose with success, or has got a "laws-of-physics" answer?
Is the 22mm hose the best option for sanders (eg Rotex 125)? 
 
For any slightly larger debris you would benefit from the larger diameter. Less risk of clogging the hose. I have had the 22mm hose myself and found myself clearing it out too often. Even if suction would be reduced a little (I don't know) I would still go for the larger diameter hose unless all you do is Domino work and light sanding where the smaller diameter hose is good enough.

For router, mitre and and track saw use I find the 22mm hose too small.

  I am pretty sure you will get better performance from the larger hose.  And on the OF1400 or 2200 router or Kapex the D36 will be even better.

Eh, the Mini and Midi have that 90 degree corner where the hose enters the CTL, right? How do you plan on doing that with a D36 hose?
 
I just plug it in straight down. Has the same size hose end, just without the bend.

But then you can't stack Systainers on top anymore
 
Fwiw i just bought the Bosch 35mm hose for my Midi. Its longer, cheaper, has a better connector on the end, and im still able to put a systainer on top. It squeezes the hose down just slightly. The only tradeoff is its not anti-static but i havent found this to be an issue at all.

Fits all my festools with no apater, even the goofy of1010 connection.

I havent ran into that yet. Havent had the hose for very long though. The hose is long enough that i hang it from the ceiling over the work area which probably helps. I dont usually have alot of shavings laying around either but ill keep that in mind. I see how that could be annoying.

Not sure what router you were using but with the of1010 setup for edge work i get very little dust escaping. The larger hose definitely helps. I suppose if youre willing to pay like 5x as much, the antistatic feature is nice. But for me its a small tradeoff.

The amount of static really depends on where you live. If you live in a high humidity area, it's rarely a problem. If you live in a cold area and heat up your work space without adding moisture... yeah.. you're in for a static fest.

But Festool also sells the non-AS hose; the gray ones. Cost about half as much as the AS ones. The Y-hose for the CMS / Precisio is also non-AS.

I just disconnect it within the garage to stack systainers on top. Though that doesn't work if you want things stacked while the CT is in use.  I don't know for sure but I think the new hose might have enough flex to be left connected and stack on top.
