CT SYS with Oneida Dust Deputy?

Has anyone used the Oneida ultimate festool dust deputy with the CT SYs? If so, any problems with this setup? I was looking at buying the CT SYS but I would like to hook it up to the dust deputy. Thanks in advance.

Are you planning to stack the DD on top of the CT SYS vac like you would with a larger vac, or have them side by side? It might be an issue to stack them with where the hose comes out on the CT SYS.

I have not tried it, but I do have both items here, and can mock something up if you like...

I'd be concerned about enough airflow when hooked up to a DD.

Curious what advantage that setup offers you?  It pretty much negates the portability aspect of the ct-sys.  I suppose you could move just the ct-sys from a shop environment to a jobsite without the DD.

Can you even attach the DD on top of the ct-sys and still attach the 50mm hose ?  If not , then the setup is going to eat up a lot of floorspace.

Is the Sys the only vac you have?  I bought the long life bag for my Sys and it makes life a lot easier. I just vac out the bag with my 26, but you could use any vac or even dump it out. Made life a lot easier with the small capacity!

I just cannot see how the ct-sys offers you any portability advantage around the shop stacked with with a Deputy on top.  Assuming it can be done.  Given the lower suction power , I see even less advantage.

I think you'd be better off with a MINI or MIDI if you're just looking for a lighter / smaller form factor than a CT36.  The CT-SYS is really designed as a quick hit jobite vac for small projects. It's not intended for a production environment. Think of it like your wife's canister or upright vacuum.  It likely has the same capacity, and I bet neither of you think twice about throwing out the bag on that or its capacity.

Well, those are like $10 ea. these days.  But they are 10x larger, so pricing is roughly in line with the sys bags and is comparable to other shop vac bags of similar size.
