I just tried my new CT SYS dust collector.

Plus is great suction. It's also fairly quiet. Minuses include almost useless hose garage and short cord.

I'll keep it, but a little disappointed.

Why do you consider the hose garage "useless"?

It is extremely difficult to get the hose coiled into the garage.

    I can get the hose in but adding in the 16' cord is another matter. I'd actually prefer a shorter cord for my use. It is nice that it can just be unplugged from the unit. Getting it all in neatly matters more when placing a another systainer on top.

The cords used for normal desktop PCs should fit - at least with the german version they do.
You should be able to grab one from a local PC shop for little to no money (they usually drown in them).

Yep. Just need to make sure the gauge is enough.

Not sure which CT dust extractor you have? I have the midi ct and it's not an issue. It's a tight fight yes and it takes An extra 40 seconds to fit it in, but it fits so neatly it's hard to fault it And I really like the long extension cord attached.

He is talking about the CT SYS, Systainer based vac. I agree its a bit hard to get the hose and the power cord inside the hose garage. What has annoyed me is the removable cord, as it has come unplugged from the unit a couple of times during use. A clip on it or hardwired cord would have been a better choice in my book...

I have not owned the CT SYS more than 10 days. Is it returnable?

Should be covered under the 30 day return policy. It just needs to have a serial number on the tool to qualify for the policy.

I find coiling the hose into the garage no different than any other unit with a garage. Not an issue at all. Make sure the 90º hose to CT connector is pointing slightly towards the outer wall of the garage.

It is covered by the 30 day return policy.

I put velcro cord wraps along the hose to fasten the cord along it. If you do this and work it around,you can fit it all in the topand the cord never unplugs

You did this on the CT SYS? Don't you sometimes have the power cord going in one direction and the hose in another?

Or do you mean the cord for the tool? I guess that makes more sense attached to the hose!

I wanted to buy the CT SYS, but ended up with the Mini instead.  Adjustable suction, casters, and added capacity were worth it to me.  I also added a DD for situations where portability wasn't paramount.  Love it!

I'm really close to getting one. With a need for just quick in and out jobs the midi I have is still just a bit big. I'm into fast. Strap everything to a sysroll. In and out clean

Im pretty thrilled with ours.  Since we got it a few months ago, Ive done an on site solid surface install, several cabinet installs, etc.  Love it.  Just the right size to easily haul around and suction is amazing.  Bought two packs of bags and when it starts losing suction, just change the bag.  Even if its not 100% full - theyre not that much.

For the cost, its a good value IMO.
