Hi, I’ve got a CTM 36 E AC Dust extractor I have just purchased a CT-VA 20 with the gen 3 base & have found my dust extractor has the T lock Interface I believe, My question is can you purchase the CT-VA with the T lock base system as the separator has been out before the gen 3 I believe, much appreciated.

There's a Sys3 version of the CT VA 20?  That seems... odd...

The Sys3 and T-Loc both connect the same way.  There was no functional change in the base that would create a difference in how it mounts to a CT 36.

IIRC, you don't use the T-Loc connection to attach it, you use the clips.  It's been a few months since I assembled mine, though, so don't quote me on that.  Even though I use both my CT 26 and CT Mini with the cyclone on top, I haven't paid attention to how they attach since I set them both up.

On a CTL/M  26/36/48 series you can use both T-Loc and/or the Classic systainer clips to attach.

Do note that a SYS3 interface is STILL a T-Loc and while the catches are different look, they are even interchangeable.

I have the CTM 36 AC and the CT-VA connected atop via the T-Loc catch to the hose garage. I actually removed the Classic clips as do not like the lime green color. Yes, I have an anthracite catch replaced too. No green on my CT 36 except the control knobs. And even those I am thinking to swith to the orange Protool ones if I get to it. Les conspicuous.

Not worry. The CT-VA can be attached to ANY Systainer or a Systainer-compatible vac - be it classic or T-Loc or SYS3. So even a CT 22 20 year old vac will work fine as well as some Makitas etc.
