I have a CT15 living under my Kapex, and I’m filling up bags quickly. I’d like to add a pre-separator, but I can’t just stack one on top. Any suggestions?

The DD bucket can be placed next to or in front or behind the CT on the floor.

Is it anti-static? Will it reduce CFM?

DD2.5 is anti-static. It is better than the Festool cyclone in terms of any reduction in cfm.

DD2.5 is better than its previous models in flow plus it being anti-static. Check out its details on the Oneida site which includes a video demo.

Hi,

Looks like you might have space underneath for this side by side arrangement. The hose that is hanging, disconnected goes up through the bench top then on up and over to another work station. I just swap between that and the Kreg jig when needed. Could just as easily work for the Kapex.

Another vote for the dust deputy 2.5. Excellent performance and minimal suction loss.
Were my situation identical to yours I'd either build a custom waste container from 1/2" plywood to sit next to the vac, or see if the eagle manufacturing 20 gallon tub would fit. I'm not a fan of the smaller 5 gallon buckets as dust bins.

That is one heck of a lot of pocket screw drilling to need a separator!?  [big grin]

Extraction from a Kreg jig is a fantastic thing though. I haven't always done it, but really found the suction helps in positioning parts, plus eliminating the clean-up. I find that I don't use the hand-held one as often now, since it makes a mess.

Well I drill quite a few pocket holes. I would use a vac on the Kreg regardless .................. as you say no clean up and the suction helps hold the bigger pieces while positioning and clamping. But the reason for the separator on that unit is really for the other work station that sees a lot of handheld router use. And the occasional hand held power plane. Domino too.

yes you can and IME static is not an issue, mainly by using a steel bin.
