Hi guys, I've had my new ct22 for about a week now and have a couple questions.
- is the hose garage worthwhile or does it end up being a hassle?
- has anyone installed the pneumatic air kit setup, does it work? How much did it end up costing?
I have a large and small compressor for various size jobs but want to get away from carrying either for service calls. I'm thinking about the Sys4 compressed bottles and guns setup someone had posted. I could also just get another paslode cordless gun. Not happy with the paslode guns anymore.
I would use the ct setup just for a trim or brad gun. Thanks for any insight. Markus

Hose garge was the first thing I bought for mine and the handle.

There is no place to store the hose safley out of harms reach of a big sander ;D

I have heard over and over that the co2 bottles are a PIA.

I have a little emglo I take for small jobs when I cant use either of my paslodes(which I have no issues with, probably because I have never cleaned them ;D)

I don't have the hose garage.  Others might love it but I looked at it and just couldn't pull the trigger.

I don't know if you use finish or framing guns for small jobs - I assume that you use trim guns mainly.  About five years ago a carpenter saw me using my Paslode trim gun and asked me if I was happy with it.  Sure I was.  He had also been happy with his until someone showed him the Dewalt cordless.  He explained that it was heavier and bigger but he liked not having to deal with the fuel cells.  It also used the same nails as the Paslode.  About 2 weeks later I dropped my Paslode and broke off the activating trip at the nose.  Bought a Dewalt until I could get mine repaired.  Still haven't had the Paslodei repaired.  Heavier - yes.  No smell.  No cold issues.

I do have regular guns but I don't think that I have pulled them out in 2 plus years.  I am not a production trimmer or else I would use them more.

Hope that this helps.

Don't forget that the  pneumatic air kit is a pass through and activator for the CT22 you still need a source of compressed air.

I have the CO2 bottles and a kit from Lowes - works great with a Grex pin nailer, a brad nailer, and a finish nailer when I don't want to get out the hose and turn on the compressor.  Appreciate working with less noise too.  I have also used it on woodworking in the shop as well as finish trim and found it works great for getting up and down on ladders with no hose to drag and easy to carry to the job.

The Lowe's kit is here:  http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=166441-61735-J-6901-100&lpage=none

$69 for the kit and I think I paid around $15-20 for the CO2 cartridges.  Refils are $3 at the hardware store or sporting goods stores that sells paintball supplies.
