CT33 WCR 1000 and Hose

I currently have a CT-33 I am planning on adding the WCR 1000 to it soon. Can someone tell me if the hole to insert the Festool 487072 Suction Hose Holder is present or will work with the WCR 1000? Currently I have a hose garage on the unit. I know that will need to be removed in order for the WCR to attach. I am curious how one uses the hose garage that is built into the new CT-26/36 units with the WCR. I am tired of the hose snagging on items and it would be easier to handle if it was elevated just a bit. I have thought about the boom arm but the problem is the unit appears to be rather bulky and difficult to move around once it is installed. Not to mention my 8' ceiling garage feels short already.

Maybe I should just convince the wife I need to get a new ct-26 with the WCR for mobile work and leave the CT-33 attached to the Kapex which I still need.

Ty, thanks for the question. There's no hole for the hose holder that you're talking about. It's been a while since I looked at it, but for some reason I seem to believe that there's not even a possibility of drilling your own hole. But, I could be mistaken. We would need a member who has a WCR to confirm that or it would have to wait until I'm in the office on Monday. I don't have one here at home. You may want to consider that the WCR has several hooks which are well suited for holding your hose. You could probably find some photos of it being used in that way in some of the threads, especially those with reviews of the WCR.

Shane is right, you really can't drill a hole for the hose holder because you would likely destructure the WCR to some extent.  I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a way to mount the hose holder to the WCR in some way.  BTW, you can attach the WCR to your hose garage, although you'd need to remove the WCR to access it.  I'll throw the hose on the sander hanger to keep it out of the way when not in use.

I've got 8' ceilings too and the boom arm works fine.  The vac is certainly a little harder to move around with the boom arm but it's by no means insurmountable.  You can break down the boom arm enough to move the vac around in less than a minute.  The boom arm is a pricey piece of equipment but, in my opinion, it's worth every penny.

There is a hole for the hose holder on the CT36 that is accessed through the same area where the latches are for holding the WCR1000 onto the CT36. Just set the WCR1000 onto the CT36 and latch it on. Very close to the latch one should find the hose holder hole, say that three times really fast, and be able to fit the hose holder into this conveniently placed receiver of the hose holder.
