Last year, my CT36, circa 2013, was involved in a flood, and, the turbine got wiped out.  Considering this has been my favorite tool for over six years, I thought about replacing it.  Then, I saw how much it would cost.  I called Festool to discuss my options, and, decided to ship it in for a repair estimate.  (You only ship the top part.)  Three days later I got the $200 estimate.  Sounded good, so they replaced the turbine, noise suppressor and the hood (over six years I managed to crack/break multiple parts.). I now have a good as new CT36 that is really quiet with the new and improved hood.  What a deal! Thanks Festool!

PS: $30 labor was the best part.
