I love Festool and about to add to my collection. I just (almost a year old) started having my CT36 start then stop. At first it would start back again now it just starts and stops. It acts like some kind of protection but I can find nothing that would cause it. Thought it might be plugged up. Started with checking hose, removed hose, removed top and checked filters and all look good. If you have any idea of possable cause please respond.

A couple of questions:   Does it stop in the manual mode (just vac) or both?  If it does it with a tool attached does the tool keep running?

Just check it doesn't start at all auto with tool (didn't notice that) and in manual starts then stops.

It's under warranty, so give our service department a call or send me your contact information and I'll have someone contact you. Their number is below in my signature.

During the first year of warranty, we cover shipping to and from the service center should it need repair.

It sounds like it will likely need to be checked out based on the symptoms.

Even when I have a problem with a tool I am glad I bought Festool. I am very impressed with the customer service from everyone I talked to at Festool. I have my CT36 back and working great.  [big grin]

That was a service turn around!  You posted on a Saturday (2nd), couldn't have shipped until Monday (4th), it had probably two days in transit, got repaired  and shipped (weekend comes into play) and you have it back already.  WOW!
