I am not sure how to check the new product changes.
I bought the LR 32 hole drilling set on Sept 5, 2017 online.

Relatively new.
While I did not know before, but looking in my set I have the 2 edge stops with the flags made from plastic.
Not like the new ones being sold.
So my question would be is it ok for dealers to sell new items without the updated parts inside?
How would I know?
Is it my responsibility to find out first?
Like I said, unless this updated version came out between Sept. 5th and now, how would I know?
Why would I want the plastic one over the aluminum one?
Do I get a choice in future purchases?
Does Festool exchange them for me to the new version if I bought by certain date?

Photos  will help as I looked at a dealers web site and the one he shows on his site is exactly the same one I have and bought about 5 years ago.

The LR32 Set I purchased a decade ago looks just like the one in the upper photo. I would guess that the one in the lower photo with the cast metal pieces is a much older example rather than one that has just been released.

Mines looks like the one in the upper photo to. But as noted mines a older one.

Have you called festool service?

Please let us know what they say.
