Good evening chaps, I've spent a fair number of hours figuring out how best to create T-Loc Systainer labels that are faithful to not only Festool's design, but also the design of each brands own label, with a Systainer twist. I've read through all the threads regarding custom labels on here to try and make the best I could.

These aren't a quick process to make, I use heavy laminated card stock for protection and durability. The right side 'info' labels are custom for every brand with various logos etc - something I've currently only done for Bosch. I'm working on Festool and Mirka's. Some brands don't have info labels as it's box printed (ie Dremel/Dymo) so there are no labels for the right side and I didn't want to create 'fake' labels. The Bosch below matches the corrasponding label on the Bosch box, including correct EAN13 barcode and safety warnings.

Anyway, if you're interested in some labels, shoot me a PM and we can discuss if I can make them and an acceptable price.

I hope you like them!

I wonder if you've lost sight of the 'use' of labels here?

Judging by what I do and what others clearly do looking at a few of the many many threads there's a mix from the colour coded T-loc to printed T-loc face to simple 1 - 3 word description in big letters on the more minimalist yet still creative side to the rather more mundane output such as mine which is 2 or 3 words in big text ('DF500' or 'Box Clamps') a graphic of the tool (purely for rapid recognition in a stack) or contents ( Cable-SYS 2.5mm T&E 3C TB) and maybe the brand.

That's all about "I need x, y and z for Job A", instantly recognise them and load them on the van or look at a rack of 30 systainers in the shop or in a stack and there's the LR-32 set. Little letters that say RO 150 FEQ-Plus GB 110V  aren't really helpful compared with big RO 150

Your labels seem to be much more in the manufacturers mindset barcodes for stock mgmt, and fluff for marketing - what possible use is there for a web address for an end user? I can just guess the URLs of mirka, festool, bosch etc etc

And as for tough labels I use a template in scribus for 8 labels at a time on plain paper then guillotine them, slotted in behind a piece of clear plastic one for the end one for the front... job done. I think I've lost 2 so far and instantly replaced them with spares...

Many of the simple colour coded T-loc brigade would regard *my* approach as total overkill!!!

That's a fair comment Larry. It's each to their own at the end of the day. Some will be happy shoving a a sticky label on their box and writing what's inside, others want their kit to look the same. Is it overkill, sure it is, is it necessary? Far from it. But does it look professional? Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I started this as some of the labels on my Systainers were worn and torn. I decided some time back to use nothing but Systainers and wanted things to match. For me, I like it. I suppose that's what counts :)

Definitely so.

Labeling or not is a personal preference and how much trouble or money one is willing to go through for the process is also a personal choice. Some people are even willing to spend almost as much as, if not more than, its cost on having a handplane engraved by hand!

I have only six Festool systainers and therefore do not have  the kind of "tool recognition/retrieval" problem as some of you do.

Anyone know what color Systainer this is? I think it is Sapphire Blue but I might be wrong. Trying to build a Bosch clone systainer. Sad thing was I found one in Germany on eBay the other day but the guy wouldn't ship to the USA... Nuts.

Here is a cool printed Bosch Logo

Yes, Sapphire blue.

OP, these are some of the nicest I've seen, very professional. I'm with you -- even though a simple scribble would get the job done, I like the "authentic"/manufacturer look.

I made some ones similar to yours, albeit with less information and without the nice lamination or card stock (I used typing paper and packing tape).  [scared]

Yours are definitely nicer  [big grin]
