Custom Systainer Labels

These labels are awesome. I have a few empty Classic Systainers used to store my Microfence Edge Guide and Circle Jig, Foredom TXH, LR32, Drill Bits etc. Have been thinking about making labels for them but don't seem to find a template for the Classic labels anywhere.  It is not too difficult to start from scratch but if one exists, would be a great help.
If you have pictures, I can make the labels for you.

[member=7701]gms002[/member] Thanks for the offer. I was able to make them using Microsoft Publisher and printed them on Avery transparent Labels. The look even better than the original Festool labels in my opinion on the Systainers.

Few non-Festool labels I've made - the older ones are for the classic sys
I always laminate them after printing - perfect solution for T-loc labels.
Labels for sys classic tend to peel off. I don't fight it, just print new ones as needed.
I've designed a small MS Access application to make them. Happy to share if anybody interested.
All attached pdfs are A4.

I'd be interested in seeing your MS Access application. I use Access a lot and have set up quite a few programs in it. AND, I really need todo some labels on my old Classis systainers.

Can you handle Access 2000?

Am currently using 2003. Should convert it if it needs to.  Have another unit with 2000 on it if I had to go with it.

Zipped  application attached (systainerLables.zip) + few pictures, so you can see how it works.
All reports printing labels are data driven - no embedded pictures.
Open the mdb. Edit table Labels_Systaiiner (spelling, I know) and change data
in columns:pic_nm, logo_nm and Side_Picture to point to wherever you keep yours. Try not to change the sizes of objects in reports. The reports will automatically size any pictures you use to correct systainer label dimensions.
Other reports there - rulers, scrollsaw layouts for  my japanese style boxes, etc . Let me know what you think. If you don't like them - delete them. The VB code in some of them is very ugly, but works. I didn't write it for sale. As I get older I keep forgetting things - this acts as my external RAM. Comes handy.

All reports are set to print on A4 paper.
Any problems - let me know. "we have no problems - we have solutions :)"

Good luck

George

What glue are you using on the classic sys labels?  I laminate the labels and use double sided tape, but it doesn't hold too well. Don't want use superglue.

The laminate you are using may hinder the effectiveness of your double sided tape to adhere.  There are different grades of double sided tape too.  You may want to check with your supplier and choose a tape better suited for the surface you are connecting.

Made some from those found here and a few extra - put em all on a single sheet for printing -

SPAX Screws
SNAPPY Hex shank bits
Rulers/Measuring

Makita - BO900V Sander

I have yet to make and attach new labels to my classic sustainers.  I'd like to keep them from sticking out much, but want them to stick well.  I've been attaching Avery Weatherproof Labels to blank PVC plastic ID cards for my t-loc sustainers. I may try attaching some of those ID cards to the classic sustainers using double stick tape.  If I find a decent double stick tape that will hold without being too thick.

Will post here if I find an acceptable solution.

These are the labels I've made for my systainers, even redid the Festool ones to make them easier to identify when I send my wife to grab one from the shop.

I made the template in power point and if I cut right on the lines, they fit perfectly.

Excellent idea & execution...the standard Festool labels are tough to see and tell apart.  [thumbs up]

That's the reason I went to different colored latches but trying to remember what color equals what tool is also an annoyance.

Here is something I created for my T-Loc Systainer labels. I got some of the PVC plastic ID cards,https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H5W0YM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which slide perfectly into the slots on the Systainer.  I bought Avery Weatherproof labels, (15513).  The label is the correct height for the ID cards, but needs to be trimmed for the correct length.  I created a PDF to create the labels, allowing you to enter your text, an image for the contents and an image for the brand.

Attached you will find an example of a full sheet of labels, ready for printing and trimming.

And also a copy of the blank form, ready to insert your items.

I just downloaded my tool images and cropped them to where they look good in my PDF.  You can change the image over-and-over until you get it right, then send it to the printer.

I use a color laser and so far, my labels have held up nicely.

Is there a label template for the Mini Systainers? I haven't seen one, but I probably missed it.

These labels are great, thanks for providing them,  I could use a few more I have not seen here, if it is not too much trouble.  With everything being monetized I am surprise you have not set up a month subscription for labels.

Plumbing,
Electrical
Drywall / Tile
Prep Box
Milwaukee 18V Sawzall
Nail Guns
Painting
thanks

Hey. Very cool labels and very pro.

I dont mind sending you a few bucks for the vector file so i can add some of my own tools that are non festool but in systainer boxes.  Im assuming you used illustrator or photo shop?  I would love to use your labels. But also need to customize.  I will post my versions also for others to take advantage of... lmk. Thanks

Does photoshop do vectored graphics? I thought it just "rasterized" everything.

Hi all,

First post here.

Started to make my labels and get organized with Systainers, and have become obsessed.

Here is my first shot; for all my Leigh Dovetail jig accessories. I've also gone as far as to spray paint the T-Loc latch for the Leigh color. It would bother me to have a drawer full of Blue T-Loc latches, and paint has held up.
For Leigh i used Rustoleum Rich Jade (http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/stops-rust/protective-enamel-spray?ls=312816&lc=Rich%20Jade)

Sanded T-Loc with 240 lightly, 2 light coats of Rustoleum primer, 3 light coats of Rich Jade, 2 light coats of Satin clear coat.

Also made a label for my Kreg K4 Master set.

Thanks for the label help!

This is what I was also needing...
It is all the small misc stuff that becomes a scavenger hunt.

Hey Holmz (and everyone),

Got those labels you wanted. Not sure what you meant by "Prep" though?

Also some Veritas ones i have for woodworking hand tools, drywall anchors, fastners, etc.

Thanks!
