cxs faulty for a 2nd time!

Hey Leigh, yes for sure whatever works for you! I guess even a drill press if you are doing loads.
 
Same here I prefer using a jig like Blum or hettich much quicker than using a router.

Drills all 3 holes in no time. I never use router any more.

i set up a portable morticer for drilling mine. i put the tct bit from my lr32 set in there. its great. dc is amazing(i put a 50mm port behind the bit and a flip down cover on the front from an old drill press)
 
just an update on this, well its now been over 2 weeks since i started the repair process with festool regarding my cxs, it took them 3 days to collect the tool and now i have an email saying they are waiting for a part from germany and the tool will be at least another week before i have it back, so in total over 3 weeks!
Im actually quite disappointed its gonna take this long to repair my drill for a 2nd time in under 2 years, lets hope none of my other festool kit breaks down!
pretty poor service for a company that boast a 48hr repair.

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties!  I hope they get sorted out soon as well.  From the original question - I've had no problems at all with my CXS.  It's been great.
 
I've always had speedy service with one exception being it was Christmas time.  Also the drill was slow but that was due to dealer I use to use.

Only thing which is odd is that festool always picked up my tool with out letting me know.

I would call my dealer lets say now he says to me ill get festool to pick it up form your place then next day festool would of tried to pick up my tool. Which is speedy pick up but I wasn't ready!

So I started packing up the tool soon as I called up to let them know about the fault.
