Ok, so all this talk about the cxs has me convinced that I need to toss my Bosch drivers...but can I purchase a cxs and swap the sys1 for a sortainer (four drawer) and just pay the difference?  Will the cxs and charger fit in the large bottom drawer?

Thanks,
Jon

Jon      The answer is,  yes it will fit with room to spare. I ask why would you change to this,
but I suspect you need to get a dealer to make that kind of swap for you for sure, not so sure they would.
Is it because of bit and driver assortments and you need the space

Sal,

You nailed it.  Need storage for spade bits, drill bits, driver bits etc.  Might just be better to put it in a sys 2 or 3 to gain the space instead.  I think I'm starting to take this whole organization thing a little too seriously.  But then again, I just saw an appliance installer spend a half an hour digging through his tool bag (more like a garbage bag) to try to find a 1/2" spade bit!

That was me pre Festool!  Still trying to get anything that will fit in a systainer in one!  [cool]

i wouldnt put it in a sys2 or 3 unless you make a custom  insert that can be lifted out to reveal the lower section. i prefer the sortainer idea. 2 sys1s would be better , one for the drill and one for the bits

I have my T-15 and CXS stacked on a tanos sortainer 1-4 drawer. That way I can keep all my bits and drivers in one spot for both drills to share!

I have all of that stacked on a rolling cart. I do a lot of installs and I have had the sortainer with a combo of T/C drills stacked on top for the past 2 years...it has worked perfect for me!

Tim...I love the RAS! The majority of my work is installing prefinished box & custom cabinetry. When I'm scribing to a wall that isn't just a straight cut with my TS 55, I'll cut to the outermost edge of my scribe with the 55 on a bevel & then RAS to my pencil line. I do also use it to cope, but only occasionally as I don't generally cope prefinished crowns.

Here's a photo of my drill rolling setup!

Bob,  love the setup.  What can you fit in the sortainer?  I need a place for hole saws too.

Here's a pic (dont be offended by the brand please)  But I can fit a whole lit of what I need in a sys2, which I have really gotten used to.

My other rolling setup is a Sys-1 with the colored boxes for all of my install screws...that sits on top of a sortainer 3-4 drawer. The bottom drawer is larger ( I put my trion 300 in there). But it'll certainly fit your hole saws and such. I'll post a photo tomorrow!

Bob,

I screw boxes to walls! [big grin]  95% of my work is custom cabinet installs, and luckily I'm staying busy, or steady anyway.

The rest is just fill in work like appliance retrofits, which are actually quite profitable.  You would be surprised at how many people buy appliances that don't fit, and just have to have it fit.  "Honey, I just have this shiny new oven installed by Friday so I don't care who you have to call, or what it costs to get it done."  [tongue]

my aunt desided that she was ripping out 1/4 of her kichen because she wanted a fridge that was 4"s bigger  [eek]. she wanted me to do it. i talked her out of it because it would be a thank you job for me anyway so fitting a normal fridge was a 10 minute job rather than a few days worth of patching and fixing presses [wink]
