Cxs & Txs weight comparison?

The local woodcraft has a CXS on display.  Seemed heavy even in comparison to my C18.  I recently looked at a TXS (which they brought out for me) and it was MUCH lighter than the CXS...but according to the FestoolUSA website they are the exact same weight.

Can anyone confirm they're the same weight so I don't have to drive all the way back to the store to do so?  It's probably all in my head (or the CXS on display is an old version or they have weights on it to keep someone from walking away from it..).

Thanks.

For what it's worth the weight is the same in all of the specs I've seen, including the international websites. I don't have them here to weight, but if you need I can weigh them on Monday for ya.

They must be then.  Maybe I'm mis-remembering.  I'll just order it. There's almost no chance I won't like it as much as the C18.

Thanks!

Here are my drill weights w/o chucks, but with standard batteries. Measured with a digital scale.

TSX    2 pounds, 0.3oz
CSX    2 pounds, 0.4oz
C12    2 pounds, 14.6oz
T18    3 pounds, 13.6oz
TI15  3 pounds, 13.2oz

Thanks, that certainly proves they're the same.  While reading your post it occurred to me that maybe there was two batteries for the CXS and the display had the larger one one it however I can't find a reference to one anywhere.  Maybe what I was feeling is more weight distribution.

My CSX is an older model with the battery that extends up the front part of the grip. I don't know if the new CSX battery weighs more, but I doubt it as the specs on the Festool site quote just under 2 pounds for the new CSX.

The TSX and the CSX do, to me, feel different. It's not a weight thing, just how they seem to balance.

I prefer the CSX when working in tight spaces, but otherwise seem to pick up the TSX more.

They are both incredible drills for light duty work.
