Why shouldn't it be tough? It is clearly meant to be placed in the category of small 10.8 volt drills that's so popular lately. I think 'the toughtest demands' doesn't mean it can drive the biggest screws, it means it can take a beating.

Chris, the thread about the WCR 1000 has this link in in.  On top of the vac is the systainer with the single knob that will lock the lid and unlatch it from ones below.  Link

What intersting is that both this CSX and the WCR workcenter are both on the Denmark eBay...  Both from the same seller.

Who is this mysterious "schreinerwerkzeuge"?  How are they getting tools pre-release (and allowed to sell them)?  How do I become best friends with them??  [wink]

 
I think that they are getting the information and artwork and then posting prematurely.  They are consistent though  [big grin]

The seller isn't THAT mysterious, his full contactinformation (Name, adress, phonenumbers etc.) is posted in the ebay ad (.de is Germany, (Deutschland). I found it odd aswell, since it comes in the new T-loc systainer, which wouldn't be available before september.

Then I spotted this part of the ad: "Lieferbar ab KW 37" So he isn't selling before the releasedate, it's more like a pre-order. (week 37 is the week of the 13th of September)
 
    The original link came from HM diffusion in France Who are the equivalent of Axminster UK.In other words if it's on their site it's available now and all above board.

Hey thats Rexy!!!!  Thats who I always use! Brilliant! Really!  Should call him up instead of ordering on his website often he can give you a better price than he displays on his website.   Brilliant for service hes 2 hours away from me but I can get things quicker than I can get from my local dealer! My local dealer still hasnt heard of the CXS and he sells festool!   Rexy (NICK) is the one who called me up the other day trying to sell me the CXS  hes order 40. Hes also the one who told me you can use the 18V batteries on the 14.4 Carvex offical.

Even if Rexy aint got it in stock he seems to get it in stock pretty quick normaly with in a week! My local dealer takes 2 weeks most the time really winds me up so I dont bother with him any more for tools.

Well for what it's worth I saw the new systainer yesterday and they are great, if stacked you can still open the one in the middle without disconnecting them all, only available in sizes 1 - 3 but more to follow Really very clever all the guys at the open day wanted them as they did the new CXE which we all thought was very cute and a great tool I feel sure they will sell very well

As an existing Festool user, maybe there is no need or point for you.

But this is the cheapest tool Festool have ever released. And that can only be a good thing in getting Festool some new customers. Sure, it's still expensive compared to some other drills, but not massively so. Once you take into account the USP of the right-angle chuck and the Centrotec system, it's actually fairly reasonable.

I'm sure this drill will bring lots of new Festool users.

I used to think like that but I did some thinking and I realised the niche that Festool was filling with this drill. It's not going to be useful to me because I own a C12 which fills all my needs but I can see why Festool brought it out.

One thing I don't like is the look though. I really dislike the shape. I guess it's a good thing I won't be buying one then :D

I'm with Jonny on this.  I can see where someone that wouldn't purchase a C12 because of the price might consider this drill.  Only problem for those people will be the 'slippery slope syndrome' -- as once they own that little drill, they'll be looking at the larger Festool drills...
