D 36/32 hose and bluetooth

I bought the new smooth D 36/32 x 3,5m AS/R hose to go with my CT26 that I installed the bluetooth module into (202097) a few years ago.

The bluetooth module has a rubber gripper that fits my old 36 and 26 mm hosts, but the large one is too loose on the tapered 32mm hose and the small one doesn't fit the tapered hose.

Does anyone know if there is a newer piece that would allow my remote to work with the new tapered hose [and a part number]?

I think I've seen someone use an old piece of bike inner tube wrapped under the rubber gripper. Perhaps you could try something like that?

Great tip from GarryMartin here, do also work on those Makita and other boggers that has that 22-something mm hose connections.

You could also do like this:
On the bent wand: (My most use of the button is when cleaning afterwards, and/or this way the remote stays attached to something larger than the button itself..)

Or on the connector sleeve itself, with the longer rubber band. (It’s strange that your short band doesn’t fit? Are you sure you are using the short band?)

I have the same hose as Charles, it's the tapered hose that comes with the autoclean versions of the vacs (not the planex hose), it has the same type tool-end as the older 36 mm hose. I too find it annoying that the 36 mm collar for the remote slides up on the hose because the tapered end is too thin for the collar meant for the 36mm hose, and too thick for the smaller collar.

I often thought about a simple solution like GarryMartin mentioned but never got round to actually doing it. I think I'm going to use some vulcanising rubbertape, since I don't have innertubes lying around.

You could use a silicone tape. Once wrapped it fuses and sticks to itself. Available at home depot.. about $6. Choose the spot where you want the remote and wrap the silicone tape to make that part thicker. Then attach the remote using the larger band. Should work. Hope this helps.

Blues, that sounds like the stuff I'm planning to use, it's called (self-)vulcanising tape in the stores here, if you stretch it and wrap it over itself, it fuses together.
