Dark Stain or Process - Advice Please

I hate it when my workshop gets cold and have to use smelly-fumey stuff - if you open the windows the temperature drops too much for whatever it is you are using and if you keep them shut then you choke!

Why live there?

Tom

EDIT:
I was born in North Dakota... It doesn't mean I must have 30-below winters.

Although the weather can be rubbish at times (maybe lately worse) there is still the family, the friends, the culture and so many other things. I spent 33 years on the road with the Army, lived in 19 different homes and had to wave goodbye to so many friends after just a couple of years acquaintance. I am just glad to be home - but I reserve the right to moan every now and then about the cold.

It's nice there now but I hear those summers in Texas are very hot. I know it's not Houston (where my brother lives) but 95+ with that humidity in the summers can be brutal.
BTW, I really liked Austin when I visited.

I had lunch with the clients today and I showed some samples of Jacobian Oak spirit stain on various woods.

They liked the Ash best but want a darker, more even dark finish.
