Dedicated use drill press

I mentioned in another thread that I had an older Craftsman Drill press that my father handed down to me. The table does not have a lift mechanism so it is no fun to use. After several suggestions from members I decided that I would just get a good drill press and set the old one up for some dedicated use.

I am open to ideas for what I should use this for. It has multiple speeds and only about a 3 inch stroke. I could set it up as a drum sander or something but I am looking for ideas and you guys always have plenty for me to think about.

Thanks in advance

drum sander is best that comes to mind , just start looking for spindles ,
I have few of the rubber compression ones that work well but the drawback there is they are just 1 1/2" deep .
you might be able to use the 6" Jet spindles by running a long bolt thru them  [wink]
