Delta stand and Kapex?

I need to get my Kapex up on something the gurage floor is so unbecoming of it.  I was going to buy a mft3 but it just doesn't seem portable enought for me, same with the saw helper system.  Anyone use the delta or ridge stand with wheels?  I do like taking the saw to different locations and this seems like the solution.

Hi there! Something to take into account is what kinds of locations are you planning on transporting your saw and stand? My (actually, friends and coworkers) experience has been that if you're transporting your saw from your trailer to garage, driveway, or backyard, a rolling stand works pretty slick. However, if you think you'll be going up and down stairs or inside customers homes you may want to consider a stand you can carry. I work out of the back of my truck, and setup and take down my saw almost every day, and am in love with my sawhelper rig. I do a lot of work for my future in-laws, mostly trim and built-ins on the 3rd floor of their 19th century Victorian. The only way to get up there is via a winding maid's staircase, making it virtually impossible to get tools up there unless you can pick it up and carry it. If I have a chance this weekend I'll try to take pictures of my sawhelper rig broken down into its component parts, just to show how small it breaks down to and how easy it is to move around.

If you have your heart set on a rolling stand, maybe you'd also want to consider the Bosch t4B Gravity Rise stand, it allows you to roll your saw around, but is still relatively small and light.

That is true there would be staris involved but mostly in and out of the gurage alot.  To bad the sawhelper doesn't have some wheels.

I use the Rigid stand at work and I'm finding that it is slowly falling apart piece by piece. Its very clumsy, heavy, and the collapsible design lacks fluidity - it actually has an illustrated instruction manual printed right on the top in order to guide you through the elaborate tai-chi like sequences to fold it down. Overall really bad saw stand.

I had the Ridgid stand with my old Bosch.  I never had any problems with it but it is heavy.  I attached my Kapex to a piece of MDF that sits on top of a cabinet for when I'm using it the shop.  However, I'd like to have a stand that I can take with me that I could put the saw on top of.  The sawhelper would be perfect but is probably too costly.  How much is just the stand without the wings?

Hello!

I have the kapex and the mft/kapex as well.  I love the mft stand and find it quite portable.  The main thing I like about it is that it doubles as a workbench.  You can use the extrusions and quickclamps as well as the guiderail.  I am not on jobs that long so for me it is great to be able to take one small, compact mft table that fits both needs.  If you are not going to go that route however, I would suggest the DeWalt stand as I found it to be the most lightweight and portable(as well as durable).  Just my 2cents.

I have the new Bosch gravity rise saw stand. It's great, but when i had my Kapex i could not mount it.The mounting holes on the saw are too small for the bolts that are use for securing to the stand.
So check the mounting bolts/hardware that comes with the stand you are planning to get.
You may have to enlarge the holes if you need to.
