Just received one of these from a Festool supplier here in the UK. WHy is it not provided with the adjustment wheel on the top to "fine set"

The EKAT diagram shows it as included ?  without it , when i plunge to 20 mm etc it will go well past as the stop has not yet hit the depth stop marker

Thanks

I guess everyone in the US is a bit "busy" !!!!! [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

Given the explosion image (for example here) I'm not able to locate any extra part that could attach to the depth selector. As I don't think that the fine adjust going missing is intended to be the end of the saw, maybe it's just missing from the drawing?

I suggest to contact Festool UK and explain the problem to them (and should you get a working answer: please share).

Hi Gregor

Firstly, thanks for all the help etc via "PM" .. There is a 'Hole"  on the  top of the thumb piece you adjust. It looks like it could be threaded ,Just like the later versions that have the small adjust wheel on them etc .

i will call UK festool

Festool uk........

No one answers the phone. They make you keep pressing "2" to stay on hold . WHY? once pressed I agree to stay on hold. Why should i keep doing it every min ?

You know.....customer service is not great in the UK .To be made to wait 20 mins on hold is  a JOKE . I gave up.
