i have a long chop saw stand and wanted a short one as i dont want it long any more. (you can see where this is going [embarassed])
anyway i took it apart and cut it down to the same as the short one. after re assembing it, the legs wont close fully without forcing them into position. i should have just bought the short one but was too tight not to.
has anyone got the short one and the long one. if so could you check to see if i could swap the yellow end caps off of the long design over to the short design . the short one allows for the legs to pass each other.
i looked at the uk based tool part sellers and they dont have the short one on the system yet.
does any one know how to get the part numer or the part itself .
also if that doesnt work out , any ideas on putting the main aluminium extrusion back together securly
