Dewalt DW745 $225 at Home Depot

Oh wow, wasn't planning on getting this for awhile, but this price is great. Maybe even take my father along for his veterans discount [wink] He always yells when I don't so why not, right

And I'm looking for a lugable saw.  Dang.  It's in stock at my Home Despot.

Thanks for the heads up.  I really appreciate it.

We know for sure now that the SawStop jobsite will be available in March.  But I can't see this saw dipping below $225 ever.

Just an FYI, this model is the 3,850 rpm model vs 4,800 one for $329. Not sure how the less RPM motor will do with hard woods.

Thoughts????

That relatively expensive Bosch is 3650 no load RPMs.

If I did rip hardwood I'd assume the edge would need some work.  My need is strictly for jobsite work.  And what I"m looking for is light weight.  I will be lugging the saw, can't attach it permanently to anything.

I've been lugging this saw around jobsites for about 4 years now and I think its a great jobsite saw especially if you get the rolling stand for it , very easy to separate from the stand and load in the truck or lug up a flight of stairs, the rack and pinion fence is great for fast production cuts like hardwood flooring etc.

Dont mean to hijack your thread, but ugh that is a steep price difference with us over across the pond. The cheapest deal I can find over here in The Netherlands for the Dewalt DW745 is € 605, that's a whopping $736...for from what I understand identically the same saw...how is that possible? That's nearly triple the price!
