I've worked with thin stock (as thin as 5mm ply!) on the DF500 without using any jig. I came across this video:=15s , which may be of interest to some who have a 3-D printer.
 
I opened this thinking that it was referring to a jig to use the 12mm tenons with a DF500.

Still interesting, thanks for sharing!
 
It looks like something my biscuit joiner would do easier than a domino.

What dimension domino would you use in 5mm thick material? 5mm is just 0.196”.  So a domino 0.125” thick would center between 0.0355” sides. 

I would think almost any other type of joint would be more robust.  For example, a dado, half lap, etc.
