RAS115

Not to criticize you Kodi but the general belief in the the US that the effect of a belt sander is similar to the aggressive uncontrollable results produced by a right angle grinder is likely why Festool did not export a 115 volt belt sander to North America.
A well designed belt sander WITH a sanding frame such as the one developed by Holzher (now owned by Festool) is the opposite of the RAS115. When in the right hands impressive results can be obtained with an RAS115 but it can never produce the truly (reasonable truly flat surface that the above belt sander can (with nearly foolproof ease).
A right angle grinder is a unicycle. Belt sander WITH sanding frame is a tricycle.
