DIY Jigsaw Blade Storage

Just curious to see what other people have come up with for jigsaw blade storage.  I had mine just beating around in the top right compartment but I got tired of sifting through them.  Underneath the jig saw is a rectangular recess that's ~3-1/8"x7.5" so I decided to take advantage of that space.

I sewed up small folding pouch from some scrap cordura I had laying around from another project.  It's not an ideal material though.  The points of the blade catch on the material as you try to insert them, unless you're careful of the angle.  If I were to do it again I'd make it from veg tan leather or line the pockets with a couple pieces of that thin cutting board material.

What have you guys come up with?  Curious to see some other solutions that integrate well into the systainer.

Nice, I like it.
Need to get my daughter to sew one up.
Thanks for the idea.

That's pretty slick! Great idea, especially given the very limited space available beneath the jigsaw.

No DIY solution here: My jigsaw is from a competitor and they have small, grey boxes with 4 closable inner compartments made from a clear plastic. They fit the inlay of the jigsaw's tool case.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Great idea!  I'm more impressed with the fact you can and actually did sew the pouch, this is coming from a guy that outside of a button, anything I have sewn looks like Frankenstein.

I solved the issue by adding an attic lid cover to my Carvex systainer. Unfortunately, the attic lid will only fit the T-Loc version.

Bosch makes some great jigsaw blade cases and I use their smallest one. I also use the plastic box my 6" Festool bit extender came in for blade storage as well.

I have a couple of the multipack boxes that festool do. They're perfect for storing blades and easily fit in the systainers.

Those are slick! I've never seen them in NA.

I like that external lid on the T-Loc!  The little festool box for the jigsaw blades is interesting too.  It looks like like a hacksaw blade box but much shorter.  Hmmmmmm

[member=41633]Staniam[/member], you just had to tool gloat with the 572 with NANA circle cutter jig and rail guide??!  ;)

Sorry to bump such an old topic.

But did you do this on a T-Loc I sys? Or on a T-Loc II?

I have my PS300 in a classic Sys-I but it's always a fight to get to it close, partly because of the stack of jigsaws in their orginal cardboard below the PS.

My idea is buying a Systainer T-Loc DF II #497852 to have the toplid for various jigsaw blades and the extra space inside to store the circle cutter atachment and the guiderailadapter.

I added the attic cover to a Sys II. Like you, I also needed extra room for various accessories.

Nice. Do you also happen to know if the PS-300 inlay from the classic sys will fit in the T-Loc?

I ordered a T-Loc Sys-II DF.

But you have a Carvex, do you also have the accessories systainer for that?

I also own a PSB-300 but it is in a T-Loc.

No I don't own the Carvex accessories systainer because after I used the Carvex, I decided I liked using the Trion better.  [big grin]

The boxes with jigsawblades in the main compartment are attached to the Systainer itself by means of adhevise hook and loop.

Still to do is attach the circle jig and guiderail adapter to the inside of the lid. But I think I misplaced my non-adhesive hook and loop stuff.

So far pleasantly surprised.

Adjusting the inlay to fit in the T-Loc was a pain though. I first aimed for the same orientation as in the Classic, but then I had to cut into the inlay too much near the triangle lid. So I reversed it, but then had to cutt a lower corner out of the inlay; visible top left.

Pleasently surprised the new jigsaw blades come in plastic tubes instead of cardboard.
