DIY Sysport drawer slides

rst - is your unit clear sided? I think I see a sealed door front.  Can you share more pics and did you make it? Thanks

I was thinking of making some double-deep drawers for Systainers having those
requiring less frequent access in back. My bench is 24.50" (622.5mm) deep and
these slides are 24" and rated for 100 pounds.

I was thinking about these push to open slides and wondering if anyone has used
them and how well the push-to-open feature works and also how they latch when
closing. I take it from the description they are not the soft or self close type and
that is fine by me. I think the push-to-open will allow me to keep the front of the
bench clear of any projecting hardware like drawer pulls and make for easy opening.

If you buy 10 or more they are less than $13 each.

Thanks, I looked at both of those threads just now. I knew that 24.5" would
be tight but my plan was to put those Systainers that are not accessed often
in back , more like storage than accessible. So I am believe that I can have
the front box open up with a Systainer of equal or greater height behind it.
If that doesn't work out then I'll just keep a shorter stack in the back.

Guess I better do some sort of mock up before I get into making these and
be sure that the front Systainer will open fully with another behind it. I'm stuck
with the existing depth of the bench and it was not built to hold Systainers.
It's 96" long and divided into five sections that are just over 18" wide.

I laid this all out setting up two Systainers one behind the other and I can see that
24.5 inches is not going to work as I had hoped.

So for this bench I will just have to leave the Systainers on the shelf without a tray.
I'll get two deep but not the convenience of the pull out tray.

If I ever replace the bench then I could make it deeper but just to be able to fit two
Systainers on a pull out tray is not worth building a deeper bench and I really wouldn't
want to lose the 4" of floor space in my basement shop which is tight to begin with.
