do festool dealers ever have ex-demo sales?

I'm chomping at the bit to get a ts55 so I just thought I'd ask if there are any ex-demo sales done by any of the dealers here. Probably a long shot but I've been having a good run of luck lately.

Probably anybody who got a good deal from their dealer doesn't want to affect future good deals more likely. Why don't you ask your dealer.

A few years ago I bought some tools from a local dealer that were demos, at a small discount - I think it was 25% off.  It is my understanding that Festool has since changed the policy on dealers selling demo tools, and that the dealers no longer can sell them.

I haven't "picked " a dealer at the moment. The nearest place that sells festool is a woodcraft store about 50 miles away. I figured I'd probably go with one of the dealers who frequent the fog.

Shame to hear about the change of policy. 25% off would be a nice deal/

Festool no longer offers demo/used/refurbished tools for sale. Dealers are not permitted to sell them either.

Hope they are still doing that tools for schools thing with these.  That sounded like a great idea.  After checking out our local high school shop last year, I know that there is a true need...  As big and nice as the equipment was, well, I'll just leave it at there being a need.
