Hi!
Since I consider an educated decision a better buy, I'd answer your question with yes.
See, I have (sadly, still) no idea about Festool dealers in the US - what they have on display, if many of them have "test centers" and so on.
Here in Germany there are many dealers but only few who actually offer/can offer to test a tool right on the spot.
Now when the roadshow is around you basically get - more or less, it depends a little on the roadshow's theme - the full experience: Woodworking, drywalling, sanding ...
When I went two years ago, I decided that DWC and PDC where perfect tools for me. I got to play with a lot of other stuff, too and the Festool staff was very well educated about the tools they were showcasing.
You get the chance to "talk tools" and meet cool people. Get ideas... But then again you will also meet at least one drivelling idiot, like the guy that was basically ruining my DWC experience by trying to tell us (the Festool guy and me) how he is so much faster than the auto-feed DWC... But that's the game. [big grin]
So yeah, after visiting the roadshow you make better buys
Kind regards,
Oliver
