Do you have a HK55 240 Volt?

Looking at the UK site I see the corded 240 Volt (110V also available) HK55 EBQ has a high torque 1200 Watt motor. I see it also has higher max. rpm compared to the battery version.

So my question to any UK members who have used both saws, do the extra statistical 'guts' translate to more power versatility in the real world?

The corded version is not yet available down here (yet) so I am wondering wether to wait? I have suitable multiple projects coming up to the top of the 'Ms Untidy list'  [eek] in 2-3 months time!

I am well aware that the battery version is more 'portable' when standing on a roof truss or batten, but at my age that is not my need.  [eek] [big grin]

With thanks.

Bump.
Would really appreciate some comments from any European members on this tool.

I can't comment on these saws , but have both the corded and cordless version of the mafell in all honesty both feel the same in power and cut speed even though the corded version rpm is higher than the cordless. My guess is will be similar on the festoon as long as the battery is full. If you are going to be mainly doing roofs etc up on scaffolds and not many rips the cordless is maybe the way to go then again if you might have to rip a fair bit of stuff then corded is maybe the way to go as it's want tends to use the battery  sorry can't give any first hand experience of these saws but I would guess that festoon has designed them to be equally in performance

Thanks [member=21415]wrightwoodwork[/member] , although you discuss your Mafell saws there is some hint, as I suspected, that the corded version Festool could have an edge over the HK55C with ripping, particularly if the battery is depleted.

I note that according to Tyler both saws are simultaneously being released in the US. I urge Tooltechnics Australia to release the corded model in Australia in the near future.
