I am fairly certain that a straight starting collar is not produced for that size hose. The tapered hose is unique to the mini/midi line.

I recently bought a 5m long hose to go with my MIDI, 204922. It has a sticker applied on the vac side and the stock 3.5m hose did not. Is this the RFID chip?Alex said:stueym said:The descriptions look the same, did they introduce a new (improved) version of the same part?
Yes, 204919, the current model, has an RFID chip built in so the vac can automatically sense the size of the hose. Only important if you have a European M model vac and not relevant in the USA.
Thanks for the info. I suspected that is what it was.FestitaMakool said:Yes, the tape hides and holds the RFID chip.
As Alex says, it’s relevant only to newer vacs and in M class (and above?)
My new CT MIDI L class came with the chip on the hose, but it is only the M class version that has the transmitter/receiver and registers the hose ID. On the M class Mini/Midi you’ll see an additional light bar with corresponding hose diameters that lights up according to which hose is connected to the vac - if the hose has the chips that is.
Same filtration on L & M - M beeps when airflow is restricted in relation to the hose connected to warn about possible loss in dust collection ability.
