Does Russia Get Festool Different Than The Rest of the World?

Honestly don;t know in this case but I do know that some brands do supply different items there. I think Dewalt and Stanley may have a special units for that market.

Also I don't know if it's relevant but that video is 2 years old.

I hear you on the date, but considering the CT26/36/48 were released in 2011 and only replaced this year, I figure two years would still mean there are current lineup!

Those are just the HD ("Heavy duty") versions of the CTL 26 and 36. Indeed missing the hose garage, which is the most fragile part for some users. They have been discontinued for a while now.

What is that tool at 1:15 into the video?
The RG 150, a concrete grinder / renovation grinder. Also discontinued along with the RG 80. Only the RG 130 remains and that one even got updated recently to RG 130 ECI.

I don't know if Russia still gets Festool, but if they do... it's probably via Turkey. The trade between Turkey and Russia skyrocketed since the sanctions...

It's just the HD (heavy duty?) version, used to be available in Europe before it got discontinued. I have one in the 26l version; before festool upgraded the hose garage for the regular CT's I was considering ordering the parts to convert my older ctl26 into one with a HD top. (it needs an extra interface plate to attach systainers to it (and also only the before t-loc systainers)

/edit... like Coen said already :)

Ah yes. I want to add;
Indeed missing the hose garage
^ That is by design. The top side of the of the HD is pretty flat by default and has handle that can fold up/down. So not really 'missing' but 'not part of the design'.

That is usually the case 😛

I didn't mean literally missing, as in not installed, just that there wasn't one. I didn't even know there was a HD model.
I assume they intended users to keep the hose in a cleaning set Systainer?

Or just rolled up on top around the fold-up handle. Or somewhere else in the van. Or with a bungee cord. Or ...

Half the brands have no solution for the hose at all.
