Does your C 12 Li have a lock position on the reverse/forward switch?

I just purchased a new C 12 Li drill and noticed that the reverse/forward button does not have a detent to lock the shaft from engaging. I also have a CXS drill which DOES have a lock position on the reverse/forward position. Every drill I've purchased for the past several years has had a lockout detent. I made an inquiry with Festool and they replied that NONE of their drills have a center lockout on the reverse/forward switch. So... fellow Festool fanatics owning a C 12 Li drill, do you or do you not have the lockout position on your drill? How about your CXS drill? It just seems odd to me that every drill I've ever owned has had this neat little feature, yet the C 12 Li does not... know what I mean?
many thanks from the 1st time poster!

Welcome to the FOG! , Mark.

I don't have the Li C12 so can't help. My NiCd C12 has the lock out. I am sure you will have an answer from a Li owner within minutes.

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the FOG!

My C12 Li does not have a detent on the forward/reverse switch.  In fact it is very easy to switch direction by accident, and even when the switch is centered, you can still get the drill to move slowly when pressing the trigger.  Not necessarily a problem, but something to get used to.

Hi Harry...
yup, sounds just like mine... it barely moves, and always in reverse. I actually had a different unit shipped and it does the same thing. The switch moves too easily as I have experienced a quick change in direction w/o wanting to. Great drill.... guess I'll have to get used to the "hair trigger!"
