Domino 500 connector caps

I'm unsure if this is the right area but here's my query.

Started a project with a large office desk. Due to the size and future need to move it, I opted to design it so it can be taken apart and assembled over and over. I picked up the Domino 500 connector set l so far all is well for vertical panels, small file cabinet and the top.

My problem comes from the caps. I picked up all the colors to see them and for future projects, but I noticed the "dark brown" caps are more of a "natural oak" color. I require an actual dark brown, like a black or dark walnut color. So all I have is silver, white, tan and darker tan.

Other than using some larger fascap dark walnut PVC screw caps (they leave glue and wear out of removed to often, not preferred) are there any other options any knows of? Is Festool going to make any actual dark brown caps?

FYI the regular size fascap screw caps will fit into the hole drilled for the lead holder and set/grub screw. If lucky it goes flush and only adheres to the set/grub screw.

Would canned spray paint work on the caps to get just the right color?

This is a valid option...the paint needs to be compatible with plastics and the objects thoroughly cleaned before applying it.

Or get really fancy and veneer the caps. :D

The paint option sounds like the simplest solution to your problem.  Festool is pretty limited on the color choices for the caps, I'd imagine it will stay that way for the foreseeable future.
Even something like nail polish would probably work.  And you'd have a brush to apply.  Or model paint.

I built loft beds for my girls using the Domino connectors.  I was able to design it so there aren't many visible connector holes.  If you only have a dozen or so caps to cover it's not a big deal to hand paint the caps.
If you're talking dozenS of caps then maybe not hand paint.

Ha, there's an option. Never thought of a 3D printer for caps. My Dad had one, but he's a couple hours away.

I was thinking spray paint. Plasticoat or something that will adhere to plastic. I'd rather have proper solid color throughout caps for longevity but oh well. Until Festool adds new colors to the lineup, hint hint anyone from Festool looking through here.

Thanks people.
