from day 1 on my domino 500, when i attach the domiplate or stabalizer attachement one of the thumscrews always seemed a lil tight compared to the other ... well today when i tried to take off domiplate, the thumbscrew was very tight and was barly able to get off, it looks like the thread from the hole has stripped off ,  now that hole is loose and has alot of play , anyone else had this problem? and can you purchase a new baseplate?

Hi there.
I have two DF 500’s a real early version and a current model, and a DF 700, and have never suffered this.
You can buy a base plate and any other parts that make up the machine.
Otherwise you could tap a new larger diameter thread in the base plate, and buy a larger diameter thumb screw to match the new thread.

My Domino 500 has helical inserts in the threads in the base plate where the Domiplate fits.  You can see them if you use a magnifying glass.

It is possible that one of them is stuck to the thumbscrew.  Check the two thumbscrews look exactly the same diameter.

Never knew we could fix a stripped thread like that, and I found and bookmarked this economical set in case I need it:https://tinyurl.com/yax3sw34

According to this video, the helicoil inserts run the risk of uncoiling themselves:

May be the helicoil inserts should be with the loctite.
