I just got a brand new domino 500.
But I was wondering  if is normal that it vibrates when you turn it on. Is this normal?
When you plunge it doesn’t vibrate. It is not that bad but you feel it when you’re holding the tool in your hand.
By the way I’m using dust extractor all the time.

Yes, feels a bit unusual at first but completely normal (due to the mechanism that rotates the cutter sideways)

Yes it vibrates when you turn it on, due to the bit oscillation.

Once it is plunging the vibration stops as the bit is ‘held’ in the workpiece.

This is normal.

Thanks for all the answer. I was concerned because I never tried one before.
I was hoping to have the same feeling like a biscuit joiner or router.
It works fine, once you put it against the material there's no vibration.
I'll look for a place where I can test a display unit.

Mine vibrates considerably more than my Domino XL. Enough that for some extended periods of use I prefer the XL over the 500.
