Domino for decks

wow that is really cool and a great way to build decks to the max ! [thumbs up]

From a deck/porch builders perspective:

1.  The deck boards will all flex, there is no bearing point on a joist, other than the spacer on the fastener.
2.  Seems more time consuming than the Tiger Claws I currently use.
3.  Most composite boards are grooved just for hidden fasteners.

Things that I like:

1.  Air flow to the underside of the decking.
2.  The fascia install is pretty slick.
3.  Should help keep the tops of joists from rotting out.

I guess if you got used to it, maybe it might be easier or quicker, I am not sure.
Sure is a neat use of a domino but, the Tiger claw air nailer that shoots the screw/nail through the fastener is only 225 bucks.

I've used eb ty's before, and those are the same concept for the most part except they use a biscuit cutter.  This system as a few better features, like you mention the air space.  I can tell with the eb ty's, you'll triple the time it takes to install the decking.  The look is great but it really is very time consuming.

I can only imagine the cost on this, the eb ty's are not cheap either.

I can hardly sell a deck fastened with eb-ty's.  Don't think I'll ever be able to sell one fastened with these!
