Domino Half Round

In a Halfinchshy video, #38.4 - Sculpted Mahogany Vanity - Part 4, Paul attaches what he calls a half round to the base of a Domino 500. He uses the half round to butt against a work piece for spacing. It looks like a neat idea.

Is this an after market device? If yes, where is it sold? My Domino 500 has the paddles and not the pins so will a half round fit it?

Those spacers are available on eBay but only work with the pin style domino.

Take a look at Rick's domino self centering guide. 

It will do a great job for spacing in from either edge to a uniform amount, or for centering a domino in the end of a rail, etc.

I have a Domino 700 as well as the Domino 500. I wish Festool would put the 700's flip out stops on the 500's base.

If your Domino 500 came with the 495666 Domino Base Support Bracket you will have the 20 mm  off set flip stops.....(the closest flip stops that are the same as the inside flip stops on the Domino 700). If your domino 500 did not come with that support bracket it is available as an accessory for $31.00.

Depends on when you purchased the Domino, my pin model did not come with the flip stop support bracket, my newer paddle model did come with the flip stop support bracket.

If I recall correctly, that part was introduced at the same time as the 4 mm domino's.
